TWT (The World Transformed) is a political education project that emerged out of the movement around Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership of the Labour Party. Each year, to coincide with the Labour Party conference, TWT organise a festival which brings activists, organisers and politicians into a discursive space.
This years festival, based partly online and onsite in Brighton was designed by Studio Volk in collaboration with Will Bindley. The flower petal motif acted as a visually evocative string through the work, signifying new hope after the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns in the UK. In the end we produced a wide range of different outcomes from facemasks, 3 metre wide banners hanging in the Old Steine Gardens and the festival website.
